
Two-phased Training Program
The Kokopelli Fresh Mexican Grill Management Training Program® will cover the business and operational skills required to efficiently manage the operations while ensuring premium quality products are prepared and served according to our exacting standards. Initial training is required and provided for up to 4 managers and entails 4 weeks of in-depth, in-store training at one of our sites. The complete two-phased training program is highly interactive and trainees are monitored closely to ensure optimal effectiveness.
Upon successfully completing the Kokopelli Fresh Mexican Grill Management Training, the franchisee is ready to open their Kokopelli Fresh Mexican Grill restaurant. The Kokopelli Fresh Mexican Grill training team coordinates with the franchisee the development of proper support to ensure the timely and efficient opening of each restaurant. This support includes training prior to and through the first week of operations.
First-phase: New Corporate Store and Franchisee Training Program. This phase is designed to be conducted at a corporate location over a 4-week period. The program is interactive and complete to give a new store manager and franchisees a working knowledge of every aspect of running their new store, as well as, understanding the development of their rollout program. The program is geared to be comprehensive, informative, and interesting to maximize the skills and abilities of any new manager and franchisee.
Second-phase: Road Training Team. The team is designed and comprised of trainers in all hourly function positions. These trainers arrive on-site at least 7 days prior to a new store opening. Their function is to train and prepare the crew for a new store, prior to opening. The opening team has a specific schedule and agenda for its time at the new location. The team will remain on-site during the opening and during the first week of operation to aid and assist the crew. The opening team will continue to provide a measure of on-site supervision until it can be demonstrated that the restaurant’s resident management team can consistently meet Kokopelli Fresh Mexican Grill’s operational standards.
In addition, to the two-phased training program, the franchisees will receive a computer-based copy of their training to take home to use as reinforcement of their live training and to share the experience with their hourly employees.
This full-scale educational experience, encompassing self-paced computer-based training, classroom study, and in-store hand’s-on experience in live restaurant operations, prepares them for success.
